With the advent of the Pz III with its 25 smph with its medium classification and the Panther with its 27 smph and Heavy classification the standard medium 105 HVSS Sherman is at disadvantage due to the speed difference.
Checking RCACN doc's, I found that the M4A3 has a top speed of 26 mph so I decided to convert my Sherman to a M4A3. I started by modifiying the gearbox to take a 14 tooth pinion. This, along with 480 speed motors, has the speed just about on target, (at least in my case) . Next, I purchased a T23 turret from Nic Aguilar, as well as a new engine drive cover. I still need to get the TBU to sit level but below are some pictures. Front (business end):
